WARRANTY STATEMENT

SHUTTERS R US warrants that our products shall be free of any defects in material or workmanship for the specified time stated below according to the material of The Product. "The Product" shall mean the individual components of manufacture in sofar as the individual components make up the whole of the saleable item.The Products are guarranteed for performance as fit for purpose for which they were designed and for their intended use in accordance with manufacturer's guidlines.
Warranty, in particular Paint Finishing, is subject to critical guidlines by the manufacturers and must be carefully considered at time of claim. SHUTTERS R US pass on the Paint Manufacturers Warranty as a "Back To Back Warranty". The life expectancy of a Finish will vary according to the environmental conditions that the item is subjected to and the quality of maintanence and it will also vary according to the material to which it is applied. Generally an Aluminium item will sustain a longer warranty than an applied wood product.

Aluminium - Integrity and Construction - 25 Years

Polywood - PVC Warpage, Fading, Cracking, Peeling, 10 Years

No returns will be accepted for reasons other than defects in workmanship or material.

This warranty does not apply to conditions caused by normal wear and tear upon the product. SHUTTERS R US shall repair or replace, at our option, any warrantable defective product or part returned to us and will properly pack and return the shipment at no cost to the customer. A product originally sold in an unfinished condition will be replaced in an unfinished condition.

Wood is a natural product, and may have characteristic differences in the grain, pattern variation in profile or stain effect. This is considered an enhancement to the beauty of natural wood and is not a material defect.

Warp for any door shall not exceed 6 mm in the plane of the door over the length of the door to a maximum door size of 2100 mm.

Please inspect your shutters when they arrive. If there is damage, you must notify the shipping company immediately in writing. You must file the claim as we do not do this for you. Potential damages to look for on receipt of your shutters are firstly to inspect the packaging for damage. Open the packaging and check for dented wood, chipping of paint or broken, (bent in the case of Aluminium) or broken blades. Installation errors are not covered as we use sub-contracting Tradesman to install or the shutters are self-install. Abuse or misuse of the product including repainting over or reconfiguring the shutter or overloading the operating mechanisms will deem the warranty void. Hinge attachments are not covered, as they are difficult to identify in a claim as to the cause of a failure. Extreme atmospheric conditions such as heat, direct solar contact, moisture or extreme changes through these conditions may affect the shutters and the applied coating. Paint or lacquer cracking, peeling or colour staining may indicate a condition, which voids warranty.

This warranty applies to shutters properly installed in the window, door, or interior area for which they were intended and shall not cover bow or nonalignment in the frame or jamb in which the door is hung.

Installation must be in accordance with accompanying instructions. The product cannot be modified. It is the purchaser's responsibility to maintain and clean the shutters in compliance with the instructions provided. The product must be used only in the window for which it was purchased. Customer Service will provide a Return Authorization Number. The product must be packed properly for shipment and shipped prepaid to the above address.

We will not accept returns without a Return Authorization Number clearly marked on the shipment and cannot be responsible for packing, shipping cost or damage during shipment. We shall not be responsible for any accidental or consequential damages. NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, ARE MADE. Current product specifications are dated 01/01/2000 but may be updated from time to time at SHUTTERS R US discretion. We reserve the right to make changes or improvements to our products without incurring any obligation to similarly alter products previously purchased.

THE FOLLOWING SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED DEFECTS IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP AND ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY:

Bow or nonalignment in the frame or jamb in which the door is hung.

Slight variations in gloss factor of custom paints compared to sample chips.

Damage caused by others or by any cause beyond the control of SHUTTERS R US, including but not limited to damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, mishandling, fire, flood, earthquake, storm, tornado, or other acts of nature.*This warranty extends to the original purchaser is not transferrable by exchange of domain or by sale.
